I’m Sarai. I love all things hand made: food, clothes, art, anything. I design sewing patterns for my small company, Colette Patterns. If you sew and like pretty things, you should check them out.

My mantra in life seems to be “I wonder if I could make this myself…”

Along with Sweet Sassafras and the Colette Patterns blog, I’ve written for Design Sponge, Modern Seamster magazine, The Storque (Etsy’s blog), and DIY City Mag. I love writing and collaborating with others. I especially love working with and supporting other creative women. If you have an idea, contact me!

Some things I love include: cats, Twin Peaks, swimming, vintage slips, old magazines, baking, growing food (or attempting to), dancing, gypsy jazz, my bicycle, and hats. Oh, and I like goats and chickens a lot.
