Hey Sarai!
I love your new patterns! They are gorgeous! And I’m definitely gonna pre-order some. I also like the fact that your model is not your regular size 2 girl, but actually looks normal. So it’s easier for me to imagine what I would look like wearing these patterns! Love it!
Lovely new patterns, totally worth the wait. Just preordered the rooibos, the oolong, the buttoned dress and the beautiful top. Hoping the buttoned dress will perform as a breastfeeding dress… Fantastic top.
I like the white dress or is it a blouse? Either way, it sure is feminine. Looks like something I could wear someday.
Traumhaft!!
Love these! I especially love the first neckline. These are going on my holiday wishlist!
Thank you everyone!
Great work Sarai! I love all the new patterns and the revamped store too!
i’m excited to buy the rooibos pattern and make it with my grandmother while i visit during the holidays.
i resisted learning to sew from her for so long (all my life, practically) and now i regret it. thank goodness i can still learn to read a pattern from her. she’s an amazing seamstress and earned a living making clothes!
They are lovely!
so exciting! i have two of your patterns i am planning to sew over my christmas hoilday break!! : )
Christine – good point about the oolong dress. Must try it as a blouse when pattern arrives – nice idea.
Yum! Just found your work today. That Oolong dress would be a fab DIY wedding dress. Love.
Wow! Beautiful beautiful women on your website. And the dresses of course
Sarai, the site and all your designs look so fantastic. I wish I could sew!!!!
:)
Just get someone to teach you and it will come. I learned from a really good teacher. She was a seamtress to several Hollywood stars and musical groups. I learned a lot from her. You can check the Adult Continuing Education of the school districts to see if the offer the kind of courses, or chech the Yellow Pages under seamtresses. Chech around there maybe a sewing teacher, who can help.
I’m catching up on blog posts, after being too busy to keep up regularly – the new patterns are so charming! Also, you wouldn’t have any idea as to the model’s make-up, would you? I have similar coloring and am always in search of blush/lipstick… and I love her peachy combination!
Hi Margaret, I’m not sure what the makeup is. I remember that I asked the hair/makeup gal at the time about the lipstick because I liked it so much, and she said it was a natural brand she picked up at New Seasons (which is sort of like a Whole Foods type store here).
Haven’t been to the store. I live in California. I love the clothing. You wouldn’t have a size 18W would you??
I have some ideas on accessories, if you are intrested? I used to make my own purses and evening purses for my sister and friends. I can sew on almost anything!
