Make a silk scarf

My first tutorial up at the new blog is about making a silk scarf out of 1/2 yard silk charmeuse. I love this green one I made. It has a hand rolled hem, which I just love. I think these would make very nice gifts as well.
The best thing is that the tutorial includes other tutorials on how to create a french seam and how to make a hand rolled hem.

what a lovely idea! i’ve bookmarked the new blog and await more inspiration!!
WOOT! that’s lovely!! also did you see.. it’s been blogged about on craftzine! ;)
Hi Becci! Yeah, I saw it! Very nifty. :D
I just noticed that the logo/badge for the Craft & Singer contest looks a lot like this photo. Did you have anything to do with it?

Looks like they used my photo. I didn’t have anything to do with it, but I wish they’d attributed it since all my photos are creative commons licensed. Oh well.
How do you finish off the corners of a scarf with a hand-rolled hem? Could you show a picture of it? I need to see something visually to know how to do it. Thanks!
