Paris Love Apartments

I recently took a trip to Kinokuniya for some Japanese crochet books, but as always, I left the bookstore with more than I’d planned. I think anyone interested in art, design, or fashion should go to Kinokuniya, and especially if you’re into Japanese art, design, or fashion. There are so many incredible books here that you won’t find anywhere else.

I came across this book, Apartements d’amoureux a Paris while browsing around and couldn’t resist its charms. This seems to be part of series of books. There were also books called “Stockholm Love Apartments,” “Paris Ateliers,” etc. I wanted all of them, but forced myself to choose just one. I liked the Ateliers books because I love looking at creative workspaces and studios, but these pictures of Parisian love nests were especially gorgeous and happy-making, and include some home work spaces. The Stockholm series was great too, but a little more sleek and Scandinavian. I like the messy jumbles here.

Also, I like to see that some girls have as many shoes as I do:

Honestly, some of the most adorable couples ever.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Paumes!

Those books have a cult following amongst the bloggers I know, and for good reason, too – gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous rooms……

I think perhaps I may be delurking, so I’d like to say that I’m really enjoying your blog – your vintage sewing tips and tricks are proving to be really helpful to this girl trying to learn to sew ‘properly’, and your handmade wedding! *swoon*.
You’re in my bloglines now, so hopefully I’ll be visiting aplenty…

Thank you for filling me in on Paumes! I just did a search and after finding more images, I predict frequent trips to Kinokuniya in my future.

I stumbled on your blog a while back and bookmarked to visit now and again. I enjoy your perspective and photos. I dearly wish I could sew, but it seems to not be in my cards – despite the fact that I design fabric and other manner of things! I guess I can’t do it all. Not matter how much I want to! As for this post, I must look for these books – I adore Paris in no uncertain terms so I must, must have them! I watch Househunters International especially when they are looking in Paris and marvel at the small spaces and high prices and dream about what I would do with that particular flat! Thanks for the interesting blog!
