Neighborhood walk

lush green path

One of the things I really missed when we lived in san francisco was the beautiful, overflowing gardens of the east bay. I’m so glad we’re back.

This is a walk we frequently take through the neighborhood. We don’t live in the swankiest, greenest of neighborhoods, but we live very close to one. Which is almost as good. almost.

On this particular day, we walked to the nearby chocolate seller/cafe and shared a piece of chocolate cinnamon cake.

So beautiful. I miss CA.

Chocolate cinnamon cake sounds delicious.

Caitlin says:

I am so jealous of that first picture! In Florida we have the beach palm trees, but the grass is always greener, I guess.

Sarai says:

Yep, I love the green of northern california and the pacific northwest. But I’m crazy about plants and flowers.

Yellie says:

I was lucky to find myself this week on Grand Ave. We were invited to the new “Camino” restaurant. We arrived early and took a twilight stroll to the rose garden, so stunning in the early evening and it made me long to move back to Oakland. Living in Glen Park has it’s garden feel, but but there’s something magical about the grand lake area that I miss so very much…

you’ve just reminded me how much i loved SF when my partner and i were there a few years ago. the architecture was just so lovely!
