Like a princess on casual day

crochet headband

“You look like a princess on casual day.” That is what Kenn says about my new headband.

I’m learning to crochet more than simple edgings, and this is my first finished project. I’m starting to really get into crochet. I love that crochet has two different sides: One is very homespun and folksy, like this headband; the other is really fine and intricate lace. I also love that there are so so many great Japanese crochet books (more on that later).

By the way, I love this yarn. It’s called (of all things) Seduce, by Berroco. It has a nubby texture and a nice shine.

Crocheting is so COOL isn’t it? I love it. Taught myself two years ago, but I hardly have time to make anything.

I wish I could knit!!!

Hi there! I just found your blog and your crochet projects are absolutely stunning! Did you create the headband or did you follow a pattern?
Also, which color of the seduce yarn did you use for it? I’d like to make one just like yours. It’s so nice! Thank you.

Hi Maria! I’m pretty sure the color was “vintage white,” but not 100% certain. It was definitely a silvery white color. I didn’t use a pattern, just did a really simple shape with tapered ends for the headband, chained the ties, and did a couple of round motifs and stuck them on there! Super easy and quick.
