International Flight Lounge

Our favorite tiki bar is starting a new night, International Flight Lounge, featuring “A hi-flying mix of the best uptempo ’60s French pop, Euro beat and film soundtracks, exotica, British invasion, and much more.” Seeing as I like all of those things (particularly 60s French pop), we had to check it out.

I am drinking a macadamia nut chi-chi in this photo. It has an orchid floating in it. Why yes, I am a girl drink drunk.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! My best friend and I can’t have a sassy cocktail of any kind without going into a total recreation of the “girl drink drunk” sketches! So hilarious! Sigh … I love the KITH so much.
Girl Drink Drunk is HILARIOUS.
That looks like a lot of fun. :)
awesome!! I’m always so jealous that other cities have such amazing places to go and hang. ;)
btw: any specific French ’60s pop music you could recommend? I’m very curious to listen to some (but typically don’t know where to begin… lol).
omg I love that KITH sketch, and I’ve been trying to describe it to my boyfriend for years! thanks!
And my favourite tiki bar is South London Pacific. :)
Casey: I love Serge Gainsbourg and France Gall (who he wrote songs for)
Melissa, I am continually amazed by how much you can find on YouTube! That is my most-quoted KITH sketch.
and I’d love to check out that tiki bar when I’m in london!
Oooh — that looks like so much fun! We live in Oakland so we’ll have to bop over to Alameda to check it out.

You should Leah, it’s a great little tiki bar, and a perfect stop after the alameda flea market on a warm afternoon. The drinks are amazing.
