I have a real thing for tights and stockings, especially around this time of year, and Sock Dreams is my absolute favorite source. My first purchase was a few pairs of the M stockings, which I find tend to sag around the ankles. They work really well for boots, but tended to look [...]

I am loving this book on the famed London store, Biba. I just adore the slick, glam, 1970s sequins-and-fishnet meets art deco clothes. The styling of the store itself, from the displays to the advertising to the packaging were all so perfect. Biba was a true concept store.
I really really want [...]

I decided to say goodbye to summer and start getting organized. Summer clothes just end up taking up room in the closet all winter, so I pulled out all my summery things to store away in the garage. Come next spring, it’ll be like having new clothes again.
I also started organizing my craft [...]

I bought these on our usual saturday trip to the farmer’s market. I wanted to get some red, orange, and pink cockscomb to go with the sunflowers, but then I saw these black things and fell into a halloween sort of mood.
Plus they match:
These are my new shoes, which I adore and plan to [...]

Having a photobooth was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. We hired the photoboof, who we’ve seen around at various SF events like the laughing squid party. They have a few models, including one that’s built onto a meter maid buggy and goes to Burning Man.
Anyway, the photoboof was [...]

We’ve recently received our photos from the wedding from our amazingly talented photographer, Jillian Kay, and I had to share some of them with you.
Our wedding was pretty casual, but we did ask everyone to wear hats. We also had a photobooth, since we figured hats and photobooths were bound to be [...]

On Saturday, we went to see one of my best friends perform her burlesque act at Tease-o-rama. It also happens to be Fleet Week, so there was a huge pack of loud drunken sailors behind us. (Actually, they were mostly quite nice, but they were loud).
There were some pretty incredible acts this year. [...]

I just love the Alameda Flea Market. It’s not quite as huge (or as cheap) as some of the flea markets I grew up with in LA, but it’s still exhaustingly large and there are amazing things to be had.
I loved this little table display:
So here’s what I bought…
This is a beautifully [...]

Ok, I didn’t make my own wedding cake. But we are lucky enough to have a very dear and generous friend who is also a pastry chef. Jojo was just amazing through the whole thing. And we are also lucky enough to have a couple of other friends who live nearby and [...]
