I love vintage slips. LOVE them. They are so incredibly flattering and have some of the most amazing fitting details. I had one in particular that I loved, a moss green bias cut thing that I literally wore to pieces. When it started ripping in irrepairable places, I decided to give [...]

I love the color of this dress. It’s a shimmering silk crepe, the color of a swimming pool. And the black really makes it pop.
It also ties in the back with a big black bow with trailing ends, which I unfortunately can’t find a photo of. No coffin clothes here.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite thing that I’ve knitted. It was for my mom.
The pattern is from an old issue of Vogue Knitting (Winter 04 or 05, I believe), and the yarn is Merino Style from KnitPicks. I spent about three months on it all together.
I was trying to think of [...]

These are the Endpaper Mitts, by Eunny Jang. I adore them. They keep me warm in my overly air conditioned office, and are the perfect thing for riding my bike.
I have some cocoa and cream yarn just waiting to be made up into a second pair.

I made this dress from a Marian Martin pattern from the 50s (9056, for the curious). I love the combination of cocoa and that certain creamy light brown. It reminds me of coffee and cream. I also love just about anything with a bow at the neckline.
This was taken at our old [...]

Our wedding was just about perfect. More details on that after the honeymoon!
I’m off to Italy’s Amalfi Coast for a couple of weeks! sigh.
I’ve lined up some posts on past projects of mine while I’m gone. I hope you enjoy! But please understand if I don’t answer any comments or email [...]
